Welcome to my web site! I'm a freelance writer with special interests in children's writing and humor. I also have a background in technical writing and a degree in Radio-Television-Film. Click on one of the links above for more information.

So what's new?
I currently write a monthly column for Garden Center magazine, and I went to Austin SCBWI's Write in the Heart of Texas conference at the end of April 2008. Also, the Summer Shorts anthology for children has been released by Blooming Tree Press. I have a short story and a poem in it, and you can buy it here! It features stories & poems from more than 40 authors, it's illustrated by various artists, and I'd recommend it for any kids from about 7 to 12 years old.

And in news so old it's not news anymore, I was a wiener winner! As one of 50 nationwide winners of Oscar Mayer's "Oh I Wish" contest, I won a day in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. On October 9th, 2004, I used the Wienermobile as a bookmobile, to give free books (and wiener whistles, of course) to kids at the Cedar Park Public Library in Cedar Park, TX, and at the Faulk Central Library in Austin, TX. For more on my wiener odyssey, see my journal. (And check out the banner ad at bottom of this page!)
